Care

General Maintenance: Due to their growing zone, you will need to bring the dragon fruit plants indoors over winter. They are self pollinating, so you will only need one plant to produce fruit.

Temperature: It will grow best in temperatures between 25 to 35 degrees Celsius.

Light: Dragon Fruit trees require plenty of sun, preferably 6-8 hours a day!

Watering: Allow to dry out a bit before watering. These plants like it moist, but not soggy!

Soil: A well draining, organic cactus mix will be perfect for your plant. Avoid wet, heavy soils that will result in soggy roots.

Fertilizer: To help your dragon fruit get established, fertilize lightly, a few inches away from the base, tri-annually, with a slow-release fertilizer. Watch out for heavy salts which exist in cheaper fertilizers that may damage the dragon fruit's sensitive roots.
