A dwarf succulent that forms beautiful, compact rosettes of fleshy, dusty-blue leaves. The mature plant produces offsets to form a small clump. However, they will be perfectly happy to remain in a 4in pot indefinitely. The leaves have few short marginal spines and a stlightly twisted, reddish terminal spines

Care
General Maintenance: Repot when the plant has become rootbound. Yearly, change out some of the soil to ensure the plant has fresh nutrients. Propogation of the "pups" can be done during repotting.Temperature: During the growing season it likes warm tempuratures. While in it's winter resting period it enjoys cooler temperatures, and can even tolerate as low as -3.9 to 10°C
Light: This plant requires full sun to partial sun. If you are growing indoors choose a bright sunny window with as much sun as possible. From spring to fall they love the outdoors.
Watering: From spring to fall, water thoroughly when the soil becomes dry. In winter, water sparingly about once a month. Plants in containers require more frequent watering than those in the ground. Don't be tempted to overwater, as they are prone to root. rot
Fertilizer: Only give a small amount of fertilizer in the spring during the first two years. Established plants do well on their own.
Soil: They tolerate most soils so long as they have good drainage, but they have a preferance for a rocky/sandy soil blend.
