School Tours at Floral AcresAt Floral Acres we offer learning experiences that allow children to understand plants and the people who care for them in a fun and interactive way! There are a variety of Tours to choose from depending on the desired focus and age level during the Month of June. Every tour consists of an educational walk through, followed by a planting and interactive handout for the children to take home. Cost is $5/student and must be booked one week in advance (subject to availability Adequate adult supervision is required.

Plant TourThis tour takes the students through the journey of a plant from seed to selling. They are introduced to a wide variety of plants, their needs, how to care for them and how seasonal changes affect them. The tour is completed by the students planting their own plant to take home along with an interactive comic strip featuring Jade, created by our own in-house artist Jade Hobbs. Tree TourAs the students explore our outdoor nursery, they learn about the different types and uses of trees and shrubs in our lives. They learn about the importance of the trees in our world and how they change through the seasons. The students take their own sapling home to plant along with an interactive comic strip featuring Jade, created by our own in-house artist Jade Hobbs. |
