Pansy, from the French word 'pensie' which means thought or remembrance is an annual garden plant that flowers early in the spring. It has fragrant and edible single blooms with five round-shaped petals that's rich in Vitamins A and C. It can be used as garnish to salads, cold fruit or cream soups. Pansies are quite finicky to start from seeds so it's better to buy established plants.
