One of the darker coloured Alocasia leaves, the Alocasia reginae dark Miri has spear-like leaves, and shorter stems. They have the classic textured, slightly puffy leaves that we love about Alocasias

Care

General Maintenance: Can be repotted annually if the plant has become quite rootbound.

Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures. Ideally, keep at room temperature (around 20°C - 23°C). Keep above 10°C or they will go into dormancy.

Light: Bright indirect light is best as direct sunlight will burn the leaves.

Watering: Like most Alocasias, this plant likes to dry out between waterings. If the top of the soil looks dry, make sure you check beneath the surface before watering, as Alocasia do not like too much water.

Fertilizer: Fertilize in spring and summer seasons. Can use compost or a liquid fertilizer.

Soil: Use a well draining soil. This can be achieved by using a general peat-based soil and adding perlite or orchid bark to create aeration for the roots.
