Echeveria (Dudleya)

This succulent is one of the most popular plants that can be found in arrangements or individually. The Echeveria comes in a number of colours and features a large beautiful rosette! It’s very easy to care for and does well indoors and outdoors during the summer months.

The Echeveria is native to Mexico and and Central America, so make sure to bring in this succulent during the winter! During the winter months, place this succulent near the brightest window in your house. The Echeveria will stretch towards the sun if it does not receive enough light.

Aeonium Arboreum (Zwartkop)

The beautiful Aeonium is very easy to care for as it does not require much water. One of the most common care mistakes is overwatering this succulent. The Aeonium has an upright growth pattern and also comes in a variety of colours.

The rosette of the Aeonium has round leaves and clusters of flowers can grow from the center of the rosette.

In order to avoid overwatering, poke a finger about two inches into the soil. If the soil is dry, it is time to water.

Cotyledon Orbiculata (Pig’s Ear)

The Haworthia Fasciata looks exactly like the common name given to this succulent! This is the perfect indoor plant as it only grows about six inches high and six inches wide.

Because this succulent has shallow roots, it does best in a smaller pot. If you have a very small space with lots of light, this is the perfect succulent for you!

Do not be alarmed if the Haworthia Fasciata does not seem to be growing very much. This plant is very slow growing and requires hardly any maintenance at all.

This is a great succulent for a beginner gardener!
