The Aglaonema pictum 'White Flame' is a rare and highly sought-after cultivar of the "Camouflage Plant" (Aglaonema pictum tricolor). It is distinguished by a prominent, striking white or silver streak running down the centre of its camouflage-patterned leaves, resembling a "flame".
Foliage: Features the classic tri-color camouflage pattern—shades of dark emerald, light green, and cream—but with a more concentrated and defined white/silver center than the standard tricolor.
Rarity: This specific cultivar is harder to find than the standard tricolor and is often prized by collectors for its high-contrast variegation.
Growth: Like its relatives, it is a slow-to-moderate grower, reaching a height of about 30–60 cm (1–2 feet).
Light: Needs bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate lower light, the high-contrast white variegation requires ample filtered light to remain vivid. Never place it in direct afternoon sun, as the white parts of the leaves are particularly prone to scorching.
Height: 30 in - 36 in
Spread: 24 in - 36 in
Light: Partial Sun
Water: Medium
Zone: 10 - 11
Pet Safe: Mildly toxic if ingested.
Temperature: Temperatures between 18º - 27º Celsius are preferred. Not cold tolerant. If the leaves begin to curl and the edges turn brown the temperature is probably too low or cold drafts may be affecting the plant.
Light: Partial sun, avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves.
Watering: Average water needs. Keep soil evenly moist. Prefers a bit of extra humidity, which can be provided by misting or using a pebble tray.
Soil: A peat-based potting soil mixed with perlite or sand to improve drainage is ideal (or any other well draining potting mix).
Fertilizer: Slow-release fertilizer once a month.

Care
General Maintenance: Re-pot once every two or three years during spring. They like to become slightly root bound - so don't worry if they seem to show some roots through the bottom of the pot. Prone to stem and root rot if the soil is overly wet. Susceptible to mealy bugs.Temperature: Temperatures between 18º - 27º Celsius are preferred. Not cold tolerant.
