Romanesco Cauliflower. Heirloom vegetable. Variety originated in Italy. Absolutely fascinating looking lime green heads formed of a complex collection of intricately spiraled curds. Often referred to as coral broccoli due to its appearance. Preferred by chefs everywhere due to its crisp texture and sweet lightly nutty taste!

Planting Method: Start Indoors
Growth Habit: Head Forming
Days to Emergence: 7 - 14
Days to Harvest 78
Height: 45 - 60cm (18 - 24in)

How to Grow

Fertilize lightly & frequently, never let the plants lack for water. Seed can be sown directly in the garden in late spring. We suggest starting seed indoors 5 weeks before transplanting in late April/early May. When the heads start to form, gather the large outer leaves and tie them over the “curd” to prevent colouring by sunlight. Harvest the head when it reaches 17-20cm (7-8in) in diameter – cut the entire head off using a sharp knife.
