Light Requirement: Full Sun Planting Method: Direct Seed Growth Habit: Bushy Days to Emergence: 14 - 21 Days to Harvest 360 - 450 Height: 60 - 90cm (24 - 36in)
After soaking seed in tepid water for several hours, sow direct in a sunny site in early to mid-May or preferably start seed inside 4-6 weeks early in plantable peat or paper pots filled with sterile growing medium. Planting Depth: 6-12mm (1/4-1/2in). Plant Spacing: 90cm (36in). Row Spacing: 150cm (60in). As an organic, well drained soil is essential for best growth, work in well-rotted manure or compost before planting. Do not harvest stems until the second year. In hot summer areas, some afternoon shade is beneficial. Flower and seed stalks should be removed as soon as they are noticed as they tend to weaken the plant.
