Compact, upright, spreading form. Foliage emerges with red-purple tinting in spring then turns orange-red in fall. Clusters of rosy-pink blooms from spring to summer. Foundation/border plant. Prefers a moist, well drained soil. Drought tolerant.
General Maintenance: Prune in early spring up to 1/3 of growth to reshape and rejuvenate. Remove spent flowers to promote continuous bloom. Light: Full sun. Shelter from harsh afternoon sun. Watering: Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency. Soil: Provide well-drained, enriched soil. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. Fertilizer: Feed in early spring with an all purpose fertilizer prior to the new growth.
