The variegated Philodendron 'Florida Beauty' is a popular and striking hybrid arum that combines the unique leaf shape of Philodendron pedatum and the bristly petioles of Philodendron squamiferum. It is highly sought after by houseplant collectors for its unique, multi-lobed foliage featuring splashes of creamy white, yellow, or pale green.

This plant has a representative product photo and the item you will receive may not be exactly as shown.

Variegation: The plant exhibits unpredictable and ever-changing cream, yellow, or white variegation on its dark green, glossy leaves. Foliage: The leaves are large, deeply lobed, and serrated. Mature leaves are often described as having a "horse head" or "crab claw" shape, with a narrow central rib. Growth habit: As a climbing aroid, the 'Florida Beauty' will produce larger and more mature leaves if given a pole, trellis, or other support to climb. Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Insufficient light can cause the variegation to fade, while too much direct sun will scorch the delicate leaves. Grow lights are recommended, especially during winter months. Watering: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Be careful not to overwater, which can lead to root rot. The plant's water needs will decrease in the fall and winter. Humidity: This tropical plant appreciates moderate to high humidity, ideally 60% or higher. Consider a humidifier or a pebble tray, especially in drier environments. Soil: Use a well-draining, chunky, and airy potting mix that is rich in organic matter. An ideal mix includes elements like orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir. Fertilizer: Fertilize every 4–6 weeks during the spring and summer growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reversion: If the plant does not receive enough light, new growth may revert to solid green. Pruning solid green growth can sometimes help restore variegation. Browning: The highly variegated parts of the leaves are more susceptible to browning and scorching if exposed to too much direct sunlight.
