General Maintenance: As the plant grows, you may feel the need to repot. Simply repot into a pot one size larger, preferably in the spring. As well, if you intend to propagate it can simply be done by division.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 18º - 24º Celsius, and will not tolerate temperatures 15º. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Light: Enjoys a bright spot with indirect light. Too much direct sunlight will damage the foliage.
Watering: During the spring and summer, water frequently and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. During the winter reduce the amount you water and allow the top layer of soil to become dry between watering.
Soil: A peat-based potting mix with perlite will work well, as it allows for some drainage. You do not want an excess of perlite, as you do want your soil to retain some moisture. Replenish the top soil in the spring to give your plant some fresh nutrients.
Fertilizer: Feed once a month in the spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer to encourage your foliage to look more healthy and attractive.
