Tall, upright, strongly fragrant early bloomer with double, lavender-blue blooms in late spring with heart-shaped, dark green foliage which turns yellow in fall. Massed, hedge or screen plant. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil.
General Maintenance: Little pruning is required. If pruning is required, cut back after blooming to promote strong new growth and flower buds to set for the next year. Light: Full sun. Watering: Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Increase watering before spring bloom. Soil: It is very adaptable to both dry and moist locations. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. Fertilizer: Feed in early spring with an all purpose fertilizer prior to the new growth.
