Spirea, 2 gal, Sem False Spirea

Compact, round, low-growing False Spirea. Elegant layers of new pink-tinged leaflets eventually turn yellow-green, then copper-bronze by fall. Dense, white plumes bloom in midsummer above the red-stemmed foliage. A hardy, medium sized, shrub for most soils.

Care

General Maintenance: Prune annually and remove root suckers to control size and spread.
Light: Partial sun to full sun. Shelter from harsh afternoon sun. Best leaf colours will develop in full sun.
Watering: Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency.
Soil: Provide well-drained, enriched soil. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is not particular as to soil type or pH.
Fertilizer: Feed in early spring with an all purpose fertilizer prior to the new growth.
