Ming Cherry has clusters of small white flowers in late spring that are followed by small black fruit, which attracts birds. It has green foliage throughout the season that turns yellow in the fall. Exfoliating burgundy-red bark creates winter interest. A hybrid between Prunus maackii and Prunus kerassis developed at the University of Saskatchewan.
