Care

General Maintenance: Repot to a slightly larger pot every 1-2 years, as needed. Trim any browned leaves if neccessary. Wipe leaves down with a damp cloth regularly to remove any dust or debris, to ensure your plant is able to photosynthesize properly.

Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15ºC-26ºC. Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes.

Light: Lots of bright indirect light is needed to keep crotons happy and brightly coloured. Some direct sun is okay, but too much may scorch the leaves. They do not do well in low light, and will likely drop leaves if they are not getting enough sun.

Watering: Soil should be kept evenly moist, and should only dry out slightly between waterings. If the humidity in your home is low, you may want to add a pebble tray, humidifier, or mist occasionally as they prefer higher humidity.

Soil: Any well-draining potting mix will work well, and ensure your pot has adequate drainage to avoid root rot.

Fertilizer: Feed with an all-purpose houseplant fertilizer every 3 weeks during the spring and summer months.
