General Maintenance: If your plant begins to outgrow its pot you can repot into a pot one size larger, or you can propagate your plant by division into halves or quarters in order to reduce its size.

Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 18º - 24º Celsius, and no lower than 15º. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Light: Needs a bright spot with indirect/filtered light. Too much direct sun will begin to damage the leaves.

Watering: Water frequently during spring and summer, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. During the winter reduce watering, allowing the top layer of the soil to dry out. This plant likes humidity, so utilize a pebble tray filled with water underneath your plant or a humidifier.

Soil: A mix of 2 parts peat to 1 part perlite works well, or any similar mix that allows for some drainage but also a bit of moisture retention. Replace the top layer of soil in the spring to give your plant some fresh nutrients.

Fertilizer: Use a balanced liquid feed once a month in the spring and summer to encourage healthier and more attractive foliage.
