Light: To grow best, and to maintain varigation, a spot where they get 2-5 hours of direct sunlight would be best. They can tolerate indirect light, though they won't thrive
Watering: Ginger requires a lot of water to grow actively. Do not let the soil dry out, but do not waterlog the soil either. Watering when the top 1-2in of soil is dry
Fertilizer: Use a low nitrogen fertilizer such as 10-20-20. Too much nitrogen will encourage foliage growth but slow the yield of crop
Soil: Loose, loamy, and rich in organic matter
