Sowing: Sow seeds indoors early May in a soiless mix using a plantable container. Harden off and transplant out after danger of frost has passed. In zone 6 and up direct sow in a sunny site with rich, well-drained soil after danger of frost has passed.
Comments: For a scrubbing sponges, harvest after shell hardens leaving 2.5cm of vine attached. Cure fruit in a warm dry location with good air circulation.
