Care

General Maintenance:These plants can be grown indoors or outdoors as long as they are kept out of direct sunlight. These plants tend to get leggy, so it is important to prune them in order to keep them bushy. Every couple of weeks, pinch the top two leaves on the end of each stem.

Temperature:Polka Dot plants thrive in warm, humid weather. They prefer temperatures of at least 23 degrees with a humidity of 50 percent or highter.

Light:The best place for a Polka Dot Plant to be is in a East or South facing window with bright, indirect light. Too little light will result in the colours on the leaves to fade. Too much light will result in sun burn on the leaves and the colour on the leaves fading.

Watering: Polka dot plants prefer a moderate amount of water in their soil.Water when the top half-inch of soil is dry. Do not let the soil get soggy, this can cause root rot and overwatering. Letting the soil dry out may cause the leaves to wilt and make the plant struggle to survive.

Soil: A simple all-purpose potting soil will be sufficient for your Polkda Dot plant. Be sure that your Polka dot plant has good drainage, to do this you can add in some perlite or pumice.

Fertilizer:During the warm seasons, use a houseplant fertilizer once a month. Do not fertilize during the winter months.
