Care

General Maintenance: This fast-growing plant, has a trailing growth habit and can grow 3 to 4 feet per year under the right conditions. Consider using as a tabletop plant, in dish gardens, or in terrariums.

Temperature: It likes a comfortable, room temperature, but keep away from cold drafts, as well as air conditioning or heating vents.

Light: It loves a lot of natural sunlight, moderate to medium exposure, just keep away from direct hot sun or its leaves will burn.

Watering: Peperomia obtusifolias are succulent-like in that they store water in their thick fleshy leaves, stems & roots. You don't want to over water this epiphytic plant because it'll succumb to root rot. Water moderately during the summer months and reduce frequency in the winter.

Soil: Rich, organically dense soil is what baby rubber plants are happiest in. They do not need transplanting often and grow comfortably in their original pot with drainage holes for years before requiring repotting.

Fertilizer: This plant will very rarely need fertilizer and do not fertilize it at all during winter! If you do decide it needs a little pick me up during mid summer, be sure to use a diluted liquid fertilizer.
