Care

General Maintenance: Repot every 1-3 years as needed. On the years that the plant does not need repotting, you should replace the top 1-2" of soil to provide fresh nutrients for the plant. Remove any brown leaves or spent blooms as necessary.

Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15ºC-26ºC. Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes.

Light: This plant needs plenty of light to thrive. Near a south or west facing window would be the perfect location. It will not tolerate low light spaces.

Watering: Keep soil slightly moist, especially when the plant is in bloom. Ensure your pot has adequate drainage, as having excess moisture trapped at the roots will be damaging to this plant.

Soil: A very well-draining soil is essential for this plant. A cactus mix, or something with lots of sand and perlite will work well.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced fertilizer diluted to half strength during the spring and summer months.
