A beautiful succulent that grows in a rosette form. The leaf blades are attractively edged with large, reddish, dark brown teeth. Some recurving back towards the base, and others towards the leaf tip - which has a short, stout terminal spine. When the plant matures, which usually takes 12 years or more, it produces tall, branched inflorescence that bears long, yellow and green flowers. Light: This plant prefers a bright location. Some full sun throughout the day will help it thrive. Watering: This plant does not need to be watered very often. Water thoroughly when fully dry (every 1-2 weeks in the summer, and every 2-3 weeks in the winter). Be careful not to overwater, as this plant is prone to root rot. Fertilizer: Only give a small amount of fertilizer in the spring during the first two years. Established plants do wel on their own.
