The Alocasia Cuprea is a beautiful alocasia with strikingly textured and coloured leaves. Rich dark red and green tones in mature leaves are super glossy and full of ribbings. Younger leaves show bright autumnal colours until they mature.

General Maintenance: Can be repotted annually if the plant is quite rootbound.
Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 17°C - 25°C. Lower temperatures will cause alocasia to go into dormancy.
Light: Alocasias love light but can be prone to sunburn. A bright area with no direct sun is ideal.
Watering: Alocasias like their soil a little on the dryer side as they are prone to root and crown rot, but they require high humidity to thrive. Water when the top 2 - 3 inches of soil is dry but maintain high humidity via a humidifier or pebble tray.
Soil: A well draining soil is encouraged to further prevent root rot.
Fertilizer: Use a balanced feed once a month from April - August.
