Care

General Maintenance: Can be repotted annually if the plant has become quite rootbound.

Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 17°C - 25°C. Lower temperatures will cause alocasia to go into dormancy.

Light: Alocasias love light, but can be prone to sunburn. A bright area with no direct sun is ideal.

Watering: Alocasias like their soil a little on the dryer side as they are prone to root and crown rot, but they require high humidity to thrive. Water when the top 2 - 3 inches of soil is dry, but maintain high humidity via a humidifier or pebble tray.

Fertilizer: Use a balanced fertilizer once a month between April and August.

Soil: A well draining soil is encouraged to further prevent root rot.
