Type: Tropical
Height: 6in - 12in
Spread: 12in - 18in
Zone: 10 - 12
Pet Safe: Toxic to pets, can cause mouth and stomach irritation if ingested. Their sap can also be a skin and eye irritant.

General Maintenance: Can be repotted once a year, preferably around spring, when new roots start to emerge. Roots will grow higher on the plant each year, simply cover the base of your plant with moss or peat and new roots will emerge. If you are repotting your plant you can cut the roots down so your plant remains level in your pot. This plant can be propagated by division when repotting. Be wary of aphids and other common pests on indoor plants.

Temperature: Prefers temperatures of 25° - 32° Celsius during the day, and will tolerate temperatures as low as 21° at night.

Light: Anthuriums will take as much light as you can give, as long as it is not direct. It will live ideally about 5-8 feet from a large window. Direct light can cause leaf scorching.

Watering: Requires consistently moist soil, do not let dry out between watering.

Soil: Prefers a coarse, well-drained, organic, and well-aerated soil.

Fertilizer: Apply about 1 gram of of a fertilizer with low nutrients and organic supplements when you receive your plant, but past that not much fertilization should be required. If you do fertilize, use a light solution of a 3:1:2 ratio and dilute it to about 1/4 strength. Use a slow release fertilizer or a liquid feed about 1/2 times you water your plant during the growing season.
