Coffee plants feature very glossy, dark green leaves. They eventually will produce fragrant white flowers, followed by reddish berries called coffee cherries. Inside each of these berries will be two seeds/beans. It is unlikely these plants will produce enough beans for your morning cup of joe, but it's worth a try!

Care
General Maintenance: Repot every 1-2 years as needed to accommodate the root ball size. Coffee plants can be pruned in the spring to control their size. You may want to use a stake of some sort to help support your plant as it matures.Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15º-26º Celsius. Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes.
Light: Bright indirect light is essential for the success of this plant. Direct hot sun will scorch the leaves. This plant is not tolerant of low light, so ensure the space you are placing it feels nice and bright.
Watering: Keep consistently moist, but not too wet. Coffee plants love humidity, so a humidifier nearby or a pebble tray would be very beneficial to the plant.
Soil: Plant coffee plants in a rich, peat-based potting soil with good drainage. Coffee plants prefer slightly acidic soil, so if your plant is not thriving, add organic matter such as sphagnum peat moss to modify soil pH. Their optimum pH would be around 6-6.5.
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted dose of a balanced liquid fertilizer once every 3-4 weeks in the spring and summer months.
