This aloe plant has the thick leaves you know and love, with the addition of beautiful coral coloured spines (that are actually soft) on the edges. They darken as they mature, meaning this plant only gets more stunning over time. It can produce orange flowers in the right conditions.

Care

General Maintenance: Aloes are not very fast-gorwing, so they only need to be repotted when they have clearly outgrown their current pot, or if you notice they have stopped growing entirely.

Temperature: They prefer to be warm, so temperatures of 21°C to 27°C are best.

Light: Aloe need bright light. Some full sun is preferred, but you will need to acclimate them if you intend to have them in very strong full sun.

Watering: Only water when they are completely dry, as they are very prone to overwatering and root rot.

Soil: Use a fast-draining potting mix. Mixes with sand can be beneficial for this. A cactus-mix would be perfect.

Fertilizer: Fertilize with a succulent or cactus fertilizer in the summer only, and don't fertilize in the winter.
