Dipladenias are a beautiful plant in the Mandevilla family, but unlike its close cousin, they grow more bushy than vine-like and their stems grow downward and hang. This Dipladenia is supported by a trellis that it will climb, and it has stunning large pink flowers decorating their bushy, pointed and slightly glossy dark green leaves.

Care

General Maintenance: Pinch off the gangly growth while the plant is young to encourage thicker, stronger branches. To keep it growing straight, a stake is recommended.

Temperature: Dipladenias like it hot. Room temperatures are perfect for growing them throughout the year, but they can thrive in temperatures between 18°C (during the night) all the way to 28°C.

Light: This plant requires bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sun will burn the leaves and flowers. The flowers grow best with a lot of light, and will grow small or malformed in too little light.

Watering: Water deeply once the top 2 inches of soil is dry. Do not let them fully dry out, but don't overwater.

Fertilizer: Fertilize with liquid plant food once every 3-4 weeks during the growing season (April - August).

Soil: A well-draining soil blend with a neutral pH balance will allow these plants to thrive
