Care

General Maintenance: Check the roots every 6 months or so, and move to a larger pot if the plant has become rootbound.  Trim away any browned leaves if neccesary.  Can be propagated by seperating the pups from the mother plant.  This plant will also produce seeds when it is flowering that germinate easily.

Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15ºC-26ºC.   Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes.

Light: Dyckia plants need plenty of bright light, either direct or indirect.  These plants will not do well in low light.

Watering: Water approximately once a week, allowing the soil to dry out slightly in between waterings.  This plant will wilt quite quickly when it gets too dry, but quickly recovers once watering resumes.

Soil: A quality succulent or cactus mix works best.  You can also add perlite and sand to regular potting mix to create a similar mixture.

Fertilizer: Feed once a month during the growing season with a liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength.
