The Emerald Queen Fern is also commonly referred to as the Kimberly Fern, or Australian Sword Fern. It has very symmetrical fronds that can get to be as long as 3ft. These are very good ferns for beginners as they are very forgiving and can bounce back from neglect much easier than most other fine leaved ferns

Care

General Maintenance: Repot your fern once a year at the beginning of spring for optimum growth throughout the season. Rotate every couple of days for symmetrical growth

Temperature: 10 - 27 degrees Celsius is the ideal range. Do not expose to temperatures below 4 degrees Celsius

Light: These plants prefer bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight will burn the leaves and dry it out quickly. Near a south or east facing window is a great spot for these plants, or outside in mostly shade

Watering: Water these plants consistently, for best results give a good drink every couple of days to keep the appropriate amount of moisture and humidity. These plants will also benefit from misting

Soil: An organic-rich nutritious soil that is well draining, but retains moisture. You don't want a soil that will hold all of the water or the roots will rot.

Fertilizer: Fertilize once every month during the growing season with a diluted, balanced houseplant fertilizer, or one specially made for ferns
