Haworthia Big Band is an incredibly easy-care plant that truly thrives on neglect. It forms a rosette of thick green leaves from the base. The inside of the leaves is quite smooth, but the outside is decorated with raised white horizontal stripes. Haworthias produce pups often, that can be propagated to make new plants.

Type: Tropical
Height: 5 in - 8 in
Spread: 2 in - 4 in
Light: Bright Indirect
Water: Low
Zone: 8
Pet Safe: Non-Toxic

General Maintenance: Haworthia enjoy being slightly rootbound, so they will not need to be repotted often. Prune off any dead leaves if necessary. Can propagate by division of the new pups.

Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15º-26º Celsius. Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes.

Light: Thrives in plenty of indirect light/ some direct light. Too much direct sun may cause the tips of the leaves to brown. Not suitable for low light locations.

Watering: Water once every 3-4 weeks, allowing the soil to dry out completely in between waterings. Ensure your pot has adequate drainage, to avoid root rot issues.

Soil: A very well draining soil such as cactus mix is ideal for Haworthia. You can also add sand or perlite to regular potting soil to make a suitable growing medium.

Fertilizer: Fertilize with a diluted liquid houseplant fertilizer once every 6 weeks during the spring and summer months.
