Care

General Maintenance: Ensure your pot has adequate drainage to avoid root rot. Repot every 1-2 years as needed. Trim away any dead leaves as necessary. Easily propagated from cuttings with nodes or by division.

Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15ºC-26ºC. Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes.

Light: Can tolerate lower light conditions, but will grow fastest in bright indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it may scorch the leaves.

Watering: Water thoroughly, then allow the top 1-2 inches of the soil to dry before watering again. Yellow leaves may indicate overwatering, while brown leaves may indicate that your plant needs more water. They will appreciate some extra humdity, which can be provided by misting, a humidifier or a pebble tray.

Soil: Any well-draining potting mix.

Fertilizer: Philodendrons are not heavy feeders, but will benefit from being fed a balanced houseplant fertilizer every month during the spring and summer.
