Brasil is a vining variety of philodendron that features dark green heart-shaped leaves with splashes of lime green through the middle of the leaves. It is fast growing, low-maintenance, and can be grown as a trailing plant, or trained up a trellis or moss pole.
Height: 24in - 72in
Pet Safe: Toxic to pets if ingested.
General Maintenance: Repot into a pot that is 2-3 inches larger when your plant becomes root-bound. Propagate easily by taking cuttings with nodes, and rooting them in water before planting into fresh soil.
Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15º-26º Celsius. Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes.
Light: Thrives in bright indirect light. Can tolerate low-light conditions, but will grow at a slower pace.
Watering: Water evenly, then allow the soil to dry almost entirely before watering again. Ensure your pot has adequate drainage to avoid root rot.
Soil: Any well-draining potting mix.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer once every 3-4 weeks during the growing season.
