Sansevieria Moonshine is a stunning snake plant variety with broad silvery green leaves. The unique colouring of its leaves sets it apart from other snake plant varieties and makes it a must-have for any sansevieria collector. Snake plants are arguably the easiest of all houseplants to care for and are also excellent air purifiers.

Care

General Maintenance: Snake plants will very rarely need to be repotted once they are established, as they have a small root system compared to most other house plants and are rather slow growing. They can be propagated through clippings, or by separating and replanting the pups.

Temperature: Thrives in normal household temperatures, between 15º-26º Celsius. Keep away from drafts and drastic temperature changes. They prefer drier conditions, so there is no need for misting or providing additional humidity.

Light: Snake plants are notorious for their ability to tolerate low light conditions, however they will grow quickest in bright indirect light. Direct sun may scorch their leaves.

Watering: Water evenly once every 4-6 weeks. The most common cause of issues with snake plants is overwatering, so you are far better off to lean towards less water, rather than too much. If the leaves of your snake plant become soft or begin to curl inwards, that is a sign that it is thirsty.

Soil: A 2:1 ratio of regular potting mix, and a course medium such as orchid mix, or bark is ideal to ensure the soil drains and dries quick enough. Ensure that your pot has adequate drainage to avoid any potential root rot issues.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced (20-20-20) liquid fertilizer once a month during spring and summer.
