Spirea, 2 gal, Flaming Mound

Grows in a dense, mounded form, typically reaching about 2 to 3 feet (60 to 90 cm) in height and spread. Flowers: Features abundant clusters of small, dark pink or rose flowers from late spring to mid-summer, which attract butterflies. Hardiness Zone: Hardy in USDA zones 3b to 8 Sunlight: Prefers full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily) for the best foliage color and flower production, though it can tolerate partial shade. Soil: Adaptable to a wide range of well-drained soils, including clay, and is highly tolerant of urban pollution. It prefers average to moist conditions but is drought-tolerant once established. Watering: Water newly planted shrubs regularly to ensure the soil remains moist during the first growing season. Once established, it is drought-tolerant, requiring water only when the soil becomes dry. Pruning: The shrub blooms on new wood, so it is best pruned in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Removing spent flowers (deadheading) after the first flush of blooms can encourage a second bloom and maintain its neat shape. Fertilizing: Apply a slow-release, balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges
