Care
General Maintenance: These succulents are easy to care for and stay compact. They would be happy staying on a windowsill or bookshelf. This plant grows fairly slow, so repoting will not be necessary for the first 2 years.Temperature: This plant will thrive in the normal temperatures you have in your home. Though, they will go dormant if it gets too hot or too cold.
Light:These plants like to be kept in bright, indirect light. They can tolerate direct sun for a couple hours, but it is best to avoid this to prevent sun burn.
Watering: Overwatering is common in succulents, so it is best to water throughly only when the Conophytum looks wrinkly. If your Conophytum is blooming, mist every two weeks. Be sure your plant has ample drainage to prevent overwatering. Watering should be done sparely when the plant is dormant.
Soil: Be sure that the soil you use for this plant has a high drainage capacity and has good porosity. Soils targeted for cactus and succulents would be perfect for these plants.
Fertilizer:These guys do not require fertilizer very often, if at all. You can add a slow release fertilizer in the summer if you wish. It is important to avoid fertilizing when the plant is dormant.
