Purple Top White Globe Turnip. Heirloom vegetable. To clear up some confusion, this is not a rutabaga. This turnip is an attractive older cultivar introduced before 1890. It produces round roots with a purplish-red top and a white bottom. The flesh is quite crisp and mild tasting. Younger leaves are suitable for salads.
